It takes knowledge in the sense that you will not succeed if you do not have a single idea about what you are into. Learning the basics of Internet marketing will be your strong foundation in facing the challenges that come with this lucrative business opportunity.

It takes expertise in the sense that theory alone cannot guarantee your success as an Internet marketer. Basic theories and formulated marketing strategies must be converted into a series of reasonable actions to reap the fruits of success. In other words, the words that you have said or written must be converted into action to fulfill its objective of taking your online business into the profitable side of the market.

Among the marketing strategies that must be converted into action is your Internet marketing website. Many people are aware that a website is the most powerful and important Internet marketing tool that a person needs to implement. This will serve as your shop on the Internet where it contains the products and/or services that you are offering for sale, as well as other value-added services that will help your clients, potential clients, and website visitors know what you are really offering. Keep in mind that your website is seen by not only thousands but by millions of people from different parts of the United States and other countries around the world as well.

Creating your Internet marketing website takes time and a lot of effort. You need to provide quality content, complete information about your online business and on the products that it offers for sale to the public, and several services such as articles, pointers, and short quizzes that will not just show off your skills and expertise but will educate your clients and visitors about a wide range of topics.

Once you have enhanced your website, your responsibility does not end there. You need to upgrade your website by including fresh and updated information as well as new features for easy site navigation. However, one of the things that you must consider is asking yourself if your clients are getting the best Internet marketing service out of your website.

Your clients are important to your Internet marketing business. They are your product evangelizers, helping you spread your word without asking them to do so. That is, if they are satisfied with your product and services. Once they are satisfied, expect that you will be able to build a strong clientele base that will keep your investment afloat in the air without the fear of losing.

It is not just SOP (standard operating procedure) but also a necessity to analyze the feedbacks you are receiving for your clients about a particular service on your Internet marketing website. Moreover, you need to provide some channels where they can air their concerns about the services that you offer through your site. Here are some of the channels that you may consider opening for them:

• You may include in your website design an online opinion poll. Site visitors and clients can air their concerns and/or suggestions regarding certain services you are offering through your website.

• Message boards are also one of the channels you can open for your clients. These message boards are sorted out by category or by topic to make the submission of their feedbacks orderly.

• Provide your personal email address in case they have comments and questions about your Internet marketing service. Take note that you must provide your PERSONAL email address and not your COMPANY email address. Handle their questions personally and remember to respond to their emails as soon as possible.

Determine if your clients are getting the best service out of your Internet marketing website. You need not hire a consultant to enhance your website—your clients will be telling you what they need and what they want. After all, they are your clients – the lifeblood of your business.
